We Care
Project R.E.A.D. is established to strengthen our neighborhoods, schools and families, by empowering our youth through establishing respect for self and others, educating them about responsible adulthood and career aspirations, creating in them positive attitudes that impact change, teaching them the value of having self discipline and the importance of staying drug free.

INDEPENDENT MENTORING:
This service is structured to offer one-on-one mentoring services to youth, identified by their parents/guardians, with respect, behavioral and truancy concerns. The youth will receive mentoring services two days per week, to include home and school visits. IN SCHOOL/AFTER SCHOOL MENTORING: This service is offered to schools who are in need of mentoring services for an identified group of youth. Our services will consist of classroom instructions based on the R.E.A.D. curriculum. This service is also offered as an after school program, depending on the need of the requesting school. CAMP ROLE MODEL: This camp is a six week summer camp that targets youth between the ages of 12-17 years of age. The camp is structured to offer services in the areas of Respect, Education, Attitude, and Discipline training. Students will have the opportunity to participate in various training exercises, class room instructions, educational field trips, recreational activities, motivational speakers, and community service projects. |
